Arlington teen found in shallow grave was shot multiple times, officials say

A teenager whose body was one of two found Monday in a shallow grave behind an Arlington home died from multiple gunshot wounds, the Tarrant County medical examiner’s office has ruled.

Authorities still have not released the identity of a male whose body was found buried along with Iris Chirinos, a former student at Sam Houston High School who had dropped out in April.

Witnesses have indicated to police that the body is that of Chirinos’ boyfriend, known as “Diablo.”

Police uncovered the bodies in the 200 block of Burton Drive, two days after a severed head and a note were found near a walking trial in a wooded area west of East Sanford and Truman streets.

The head is believed to belong to Diablo.

The sign read “La Raza Se Resreta y Faltan 4.” Loosely translated, the message appears to be, “The race, or group, must be respected and there’s only four left.”
