Tip leads to quick arrest in Arlington massage parlor sexual assault

The video clip of a man entering and exiting an Arlington massage parlor had circulated for just over 24 hours before a tip to Arlington police led to the arrest of Barron Keith Garrett in connection with a sexual assault on one of the business’ employees.

Garrett, 25, faces one charge of sexual assault by forcible rape after being arrested “without incident” Friday afternoon, according to a news release. The incident took place at about 6 p.m. on July 22, at a business in the 100 block of East Park Row Drive.

In the video, a man about five feet six inches tall and weighing 230-260 pounds, wearing denim shorts, a white tank top, a gold chain and flip flops, is seen entering and exiting the business. Police say that while he was inside the building, a sexual assault occurred.

As of Saturday morning, Garrett, who lives in Duncanville, was being held in the Arlington City Jail, with bond set at $20,000.

Arlington police say they are working with detectives from Dalworthington Gardens to find out whether Garrett could have been involved in a similar 2015 sexual assault.
