Arlington police officer involved in crash

Police are investigating the cause of a crash involving a police officer Friday evening.

An officer en route to a call at 6:30 p.m. was part of a collision at the intersection of West Arkansas Lane and Spanish Trail, near Veterans Park.

“The cause of the crash is being investigated,” police spokeswoman Tiara Ellis Richard said via email.

The officer and other driver were taken to a hospital but were not seriously injured, Richard said.
