Hurst woman killed in Arlington wreck
A woman was killed, a pickup hit an ambulance and one person was arrested early Monday in two back-to-back wrecks in north Arlington, police said.
The Tarrant County medical examiner’s office identified the woman killed as Rebecca Keel, 22, of Hurst. She was involved in a one-vehicle wreck shortly after 1 a.m. in which her car smashed into a tree near Lincoln and Van Buren drives.
She was pronounced dead early Monday in the 2200 block of Lincoln Drive.
Authorities are investigating a cause for the crash.
While an Arlington Fire-Rescue ambulance crew was working the scene of the fatal crash, a pickup ran into the ambulance. No injuries were reported, police Sgt. Jeffrey Houston said Monday in an email.
Two people in the pickup ran from the scene to a nearby apartment complex, and one person was arrested, accused of public intoxication, police said. Police continued their search for the pickup driver.
