Tarrant County announced new COVID-19 testing site in White Settlement after the testing site at UT Arlington closed to the public on Friday, switching to serving only students and employees.

The White Settlement testing site will begin operations Monday, open every day from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. While drive-ups are welcome at the Splash Dayz waterpark parking lot are welcome, appointments can reduce wait times and ensure you get tested.

Anyone who books an appointment ahead of time will have a QR code they can present to expedite the test, according to a news release from Tarrant County Public Health.

The Tarrant County public health website currently shows 15 locations at which residents can receive testing.

Devan Allen, commissioner for Precinct 2 of Tarrant County, announced the closing of the UT Arlington testing site to those not students and employees Friday evening and promised the county was working on expanding testing access and reducing wait times.

Arlington currently has two county-run testing sites, one at Ben Thanh Market and another at Arlington Adult Services.
