Tarrant County COVID-19 hospitalization rate climbs to 8% for first time since August
Tarrant County reported 360 new coronavirus cases and five deaths on Wednesday.
The latest deaths include Arlington men in their 50s and 60s, a Fort Worth man in his 70s, an Arlington woman in her 70s, and a Kennedale woman in her 90s. All five had underlying health conditions, according to officials.
Tarrant County has reported 50,417 COVID-19 cases, including 662 deaths and an estimated 43,895 recoveries.
As of Tuesday, coronavirus hospitalizations are back up to 8% of all occupied beds in the county for the first time since Aug. 26. Tarrant County reported a pandemic high with 20% of hospitalizations being confirmed COVID-19 patients on July 23.
Confirmed COVID-19 patients occupied 322 hospital beds in the county as of Tuesday.
