Tarrant County surpasses 46,000 COVID-19 cases, reports 4 deaths in Fort Worth, Hurst

Tarrant County reported 282 coronavirus cases and four deaths on Friday.

The latest pandemic deaths include three Fort Worth women in their 60s, 70s, and 80s, and a Hurst man in his 80s. All four had underlying health conditions, according to officials.

Tarrant County has reported a total of 46,150 COVID-19 cases, including 620 deaths and an estimated 40,575 recoveries.

Of the total COVID deaths in the county, 71% have been 65 or older, 24% have been between 45 and 64, 5% have been between 25 and 44, and one person has been 24 or younger.

Dallas County reported 355 cases and four deaths on Friday. Of Friday’s cases, 101 were unreported from earlier in the pandemic. The county has confirmed 76,962 cases and 990 deaths. The county does not report recoveries.
