COVID hospitalizations continue to drop in Tarrant County but new cases, deaths steady
Tarrant County reported 500 new coronavirus cases and four deaths on Friday.
The latest deaths include a Fort Worth woman in her 60s, Fort Worth men in their 70s and 90s, and an Arlington man in his 80s. Each had underlying health conditions, according to officials.
Tarrant County has reported a total of 35,629 COVID-19 cases, including 446 deaths and an estimated 25,604 recoveries.
COVID hospitalizations have dropped to the lowest since late June. Patients with lab-confirmed coronavirus are using 8% of all hospital beds in the county, as of Thursday. That’s the lowest rate since June 30. Coronavirus patients take up 11% of all occupied hospital beds, the lowest rate since June 27.
The county has reported 24 COVID deaths since Monday.
