Tarrant County COVID hospitalizations continue to drop; Man in 40s among latest deaths

Tarrant County reported 291 new coronavirus cases and three deaths on Friday.

The latest COVID-19 deaths include a Mansfield man in his 40s, and men from Grand Prairie and Grapevine in their 80s. All three had underlying health conditions, according to officials.

Tarrant County has confirmed a total of 32,590 COVID-19 cases, including 414 deaths and an estimated 20,329 recoveries.

Hospitalizations for patients with the coronavirus continued to drop. Of all the hospital beds in the county, COVID-19 patients filled 9% of them as of Thursday, the lowest rate since July 4. Of all occupied hospital beds in the county, COVID patients filled 13%, the lowest rate since July 2.
