Tarrant County reports record 18 COVID deaths, including man in 30s, woman in 40s

Tarrant County reported a single-day high 18 coronavirus deaths and 587 new cases on Friday.

The previous record for COVID-19 deaths reported by the county was 15 on July 25.

The latest COVID-19 deaths in the county include a Haltom City man in his 30s and a Fort Worth woman in her 40s.

Tarrant County has confirmed a total of 28,410 COVID-19 cases, including 381 deaths and at least 14,397 recoveries.

Of the total COVID-19 deaths in the county, there have been 193 in Fort Worth, 60 in Arlington, 17 in Keller, and 14 in Grapevine.

Each of the latest pandemic-related deaths had underlying health conditions, according to officials. The latest deaths include:

  • Man in his 70s, Mansfield
  • Man in his 70s, Richland Hills
  • Man in his 80s, Hurst
  • Woman in her 80s, Azle
  • Woman in her 90s, Azle
  • Man in his 60s, White Settlement
  • Man in his 70s, White Settlement
  • Man in his 80s, Lake Worth
  • Man in his 70s, Arlington
  • Woman in her 40s, Fort Worth
  • Man in his 60s, Fort Worth
  • Woman in her 70s, Fort Worth
  • Man in his 70s, Fort Worth

  • Man in his 80s, Fort Worth
  • Woman in her 80s, Fort Worth
  • Woman in her 90s, Fort Worth
