Tarrant County sees record daily high of 15 coronavirus deaths, plus 584 new cases
Tarrant County reported the deaths of 15 people from COVID-19 on Saturday, a record daily high for the county.
All had underlying health conditions, Tarrant County Public Health said. Those who died were a woman in her 80s, three men in their 80s and two women in their 90s from Grapevine; a woman in her 60s and a woman in her 90s from Arlington; two men in their 80s, two women in their 50s and a man in his 60s from Fort Worth; and two men in their 70s from Lake Worth.
The previous record high in Tarrant County was 11 deaths, reported on May 11.
Also Saturday, the health department reported 584 new coronavirus cases.
In total, there have been 25,146 cases and 344 confirmed deaths from COVID-19 in Tarrant County.
