Tarrant County reports 562 new coronavirus cases, six deaths

Tarrant County reported 562 new coronavirus cases and six deaths on Thursday.

The county has a total of 20,433 cases and 283 deaths. The county reported a record high 857 new coronavirus cases on Wednesday.

The deaths are a man in his 40s, a man in his 60s, and a man in his 70s, all from Arlington; a man in his 70s from Lake Worth, a woman in her 60s from Fort Worth and a woman in her 60s from unincorporated Tarrant County. All but one had underlying health conditions.

Those over 65 make up 68% of the county’s deaths.. Those 25 to 44 make up 40% of the cases.

About 71% of the county’s hospital beds are occupied, with COVID-19 patients taking up 16% of the occupied beds.
