Dallas County passes 19,000 coronavirus cases with single-day record, 10 more deaths

Dallas County reported 496 new coronavirus cases and 10 deaths on Friday.

The latest pandemic deaths include a man and woman in their 50s, three men in their 60s, a man in his 70s, and three men and a woman in 80s. The deaths include two Irving men, a Garland man and a woman, a Farmers Branch man, a Duncanville woman, a Mesquite man, and three Dallas men.

Two of the deceased had no underlying health conditions. Two were residents of long-term care facilities.

The county has reported 400 or more new COVID-19 cases five of the past six days and at least 300 new cases each day since June 10.

Dallas County has confirmed a total of 19,034 COVID-19 cases, including 344 deaths.
