Tarrant County reported 460 new coronavirus cases and four deaths on Wednesday.

That’s the second-most cases reported by the county. But one chart on Tarrant County’s website shows it may be a new record. Wednesday’s total is based on cases reported by labs to the county on Tuesday, and the chart shows 498 cases for that date.

The county’s previous single-day high for new COVID-19 cases was 481 on May 9, which included a spike in cases at the Federal Medical Center Fort Worth prison, according to the chart on Tarrant County’s website.

The county’s data also shows 418 cases reported on Saturday.

Among the four latest COVID-19-related deaths are two Fort Worth women in their 60s, a North Richland Hills man in his 40s and a Keller woman in her 70s. All four had underlying health conditions.

The county has confirmed a total of 9,846 COVID-19 cases, including 215 deaths and at least 4,682 recoveries.

Of the total pandemic-related deaths in the county, 123 are in Fort Worth, 17 in Keller and one in North Richland Hills.
