Tarrant County reports over 200 coronavirus cases for 3rd consecutive day, 2 deaths

Tarrant County reported two more coronavirus deaths and 232 new cases on Friday.

The latest deaths include a Fort Worth man in his 50s and a Mansfield man in his 80s. Both had underlying conditions, according to health officials.

Tarrant County has confirmed 8,331 COVID-19 cases, including 207 deaths and at least 3,691 recoveries.

The county has reported three consecutive days with more than 200 coronavirus cases for the first time. Friday’s 232 cases are the fifth-highest single-day total of the pandemic. The most cases were 481 on May 9 when an outbreak in Fort Worth’s Federal Medical Center Prison was added to the tally. The second-highest single-day total was 306 on June 11, according to county data. There were 276 cases reported on Wednesday and 231 on Thursday.

Of the 207 pandemic deaths, 119 have been in Fort Worth and seven have been in Mansfield.
