Dallas County reports 90 more coronavirus cases, 3 deaths in Mesquite, 1 in Duncanville

Dallas County reported four more coronavirus deaths and 90 new cases on Tuesday.

Three who died were residents of Mesquite and one was a resident of Duncanville. All four had been critically ill at hospitals. They were in their 50s, 60s, 70s and 90s.

Heath officials report that the number of hospital admissions and intensive care hospitalizations for COVID‐19 for the week ending on Saturday declined from the previous two weeks.

The county has reported 64 COVID-19 deaths and 2,602 cases.

Of the 64 pandemic-related deaths, 49 were 65 or older, 13 were between 41 and 64 and two were between 21 and 40. Forty-eight of the deceased (80%) had an underlying health condition. Of the total deaths, 29 were white, 17 were Hispanic, 15 were black and three were labeled “other.”

More than 56% (1,476) of the total COVID-19 cases live in Dallas, 229 live in Garland, 218 live in Irving and 103 live in Mesquite.
