Anna woman, 41, is second coronavirus-related death in Collin County

Collin County confirmed its second death and 29 new coronavirus cases on Thursday night.

A 41-year-old Anna woman who had underlying health conditions died at an area hospital.

“All of us at Collin County are saddened at the report of a second COVID-19 death within our community,” County Judge Chris Hill said. “To her family, please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.”

There have been a total of 256 cases, including 91 recoveries in Collin County. Twenty-seven patients have been hospitalized. The first COVID-19-related death was reported two weeks in Plano.

The county is currently monitoring more than 281 potential cases.
