Seventh death, 56 more coronavirus cases confirmed in Dallas County

Dallas County reported a seventh person has died from COVID-19 and 56 new cases were confirmed on Thursday, bringing the total to 303.

The person who died was a woman in her 90s who was a resident of Dallas. She had been critically ill at a local hospital and did not have any other high-risk chronic health conditions.

Of coronavirus patients who need hospitalization, 67% have been over 60 years old or had at least one known high-risk health condition, the Dallas County health department said.
