Drive-thru coronavirus tests begin Saturday at American Airlines Center in Dallas

Drive-thru coronavirus testing outside the American Airlines Center in Dallas began on Saturday.

A person being tested must be at least 65 years old and have symptoms identified in prescreening. Tests will also be given to first responders, people who work in healthcare and Dallas Area Rapid Transit employees, Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins wrote Friday in a tweet.

Tests will be given only to people who meet the above criteria and have a body temperature of 99.6 degrees or higher, Jenkins wrote. They don’t have to be Dallas County residents.

Tests will occur from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the center at 2500 Victory Plaza.

A testing site at the Ellis Davis Fieldhouse, at 9191 South Polk Street in Dallas, will open Sunday at 8 a.m.

Someone with questions should call 211.
