If you can’t afford a new home in Argyle, soon you’ll be able to rent one in Harvest
The award-winning master-planned community “Harvest” in Argyle is getting a neighborhood of single-family rentals.
Developer Hillwood Communities is partnering with built to rent developer BB Living to build 191 homes for rent in Harvest. The new homes will feature three or four bedrooms and will range from 1,800 to 2,500 square feet.
The single-family rental neighborhood will be in the Argyle school district.
“Renting was not always viewed as a good option, but we are changing that perception by delivering unique neighborhoods in great communities, resort-style amenities, superior locations and a focus on the resident experience,” said BB Living President Brandon Lombardi.
Built to rent communities are soaring in popularity throughout the Sunbelt as an option for people in transition, future homebuyers who can’t yet afford a home but want more space and long-term renters who prefer the convenience of renting.
In 2021, about 95,000 built-to-rent units were constructed around the county, estimates Brad Hunter, owner of Hunter Housing Economics, a market advisory firm.
Dallas-Fort Worth ranks third nationally in the number of single-family rentals.
Some communities are entirely built to rent. Others, like Harvest, combine rental homes and homes for sale. The community also offers patio homes, townhomes and traditional homes.
Harvest features a commercial farm with orchards and gardens, a coffee shop, an 11-acre lake, four pools, playgrounds, parks, walking trails, fitness facilities and event venures.
The community is in Northlake and Argyle at Interstate 35W and FM 407, north of Texas 114.
Construction is underway and pre-leasing will being in July.
