Once future site of a new Parker County senior center in Weatherford is now for sale
The Parker County Committee on Aging, a nonprofit serving seniors, is selling a 36-acre tract in Weatherford.
The three parcels are at 1410 Vine and are worth $958,070, according to the Parker County Appraisal District.
The Parker County Committee on Aging, which conducts the area’s Meals on Wheels program and provides recreational activities, previously planned to build a new senior center on the land, the Weatherford Democrat reported in 2018.
The project was zoned and platted, but never got off the ground.
The sale is being managed by The Stephen Reich Group with Williams Trew Real Estate.
“This property is a rare opportunity for much-needed development inside the city limits of Weatherford. Parker County is growing rapidly, but new developments that offer water and sewer services are rare,” Reich said.
Proceeds from the sale will fund new and existing Parker County Committee on Aging programs.
Jerry Durant Auto Group donated the land to the nonprofit in 2014.
