These are the hottest ZIP codes in Fort Worth. Did your neighborhood make the list?
CORRECTION: The original version of this story had the incorrect city for the ZIP code 76244. It is almost entirely in far north Fort Worth.
The hottest ZIP codes in Fort Worth are in the suburbs, said Opendoor local General Manager Sharon Brown.
According to new data from the online home-buying and selling website, the four most popular neighborhoods fan out north and south of downtown Fort Worth. They include:
- 76179 (Saginaw, Eagle Mountain and Pecan Acres),
- 76244 (far north Fort Worth),
- 76226 (Argyle) and
- 76028 (Burleson).
While “there will never not be activity in the city center,” Brown said, “what’s happening in Fort Worth is there is a rapid acceleration of people moving out from the city center to the suburbs.”
Not only can buyers get more for their money in Fort Worth suburbs, but spots like these are doing a lot to attract businesses and families, Brown said.
In addition to boasting good school districts, Fort Worth’s most popular suburbs are showing they’re family friendly by building out neighborhood parks.
“The headline is, if you have a growing family or you want to retire on a bigger estate, move north,” Brown said.
Estates may be bigger farther from downtown, but they’re certainly not cheap.
As of December, the median listing price in each of Fort Worth’s most popular ZIP codes surpassed $320,000, with 76226 (Argyle) recording a median listing price of nearly $550,000.
In December, the median price in Fort Worth was $325,300, according to Realtor.com.
