Plans are taking shape to build a 48-acre luxury lakefront development in Granbury, featuring a hotel, homes, apartments restaurants and a public park for events.

The Granbury City Council approved a zoning request last month from Irving-based Realty Capital for the Lakeview Landing development.

Lakeview Landing will be on U.S. 377, 45 minutes southwest of Fort Worth.

Tim Coltart, managing partner for Realty Capital, said in a news release that the project will benefit the city.

“The City Staff, City Council, Planning and Zoning Commission, and Economic Development teams have helped us create a plan that will attract visitors and new residents, increase the tax base, and provide a high-quality mix of uses to the City of Granbury.”

Lakeview Landing will feature a park for live music and other events, lakefront restaurants and shops, homes and apartments.

Plans for the development began in 2019.

Work will get underway later this year, and the development is scheduled to be finished in 2026.

Austin Gray, development partner for Realty Capital, said Granbury has a tremendous sense of community.

“Our goal is to breathe life into existing retail and energize the area with a variety of lakefront restaurants, shops, and a mix of residential options with prime lake views and private boat slips,” he said.
