More apartments, offices and retail space coming to Fort Worth’s West 7th. Take a look
More apartments, offices and spaces for retail and restaurants are coming to Fort Worth’s popular West 7th District.
Omaha-based developer Goldenrod Companies announced Thursday it will break ground on The Van Zandt by April. The $83 million project is planned for 2816 W. Seventh St. and will feature 147 apartments, 99,400 square feet of office space and 11,600 square feet of retail space. It is expected to open in the summer of 2023.
“We believe The Van Zandt project will continue the transformation of the West 7th District into a unique live, work, and play environment,” Brandon Schubert, director of investments at Goldenrod, said in a release.
Goldenrod said Stream Realty Partners would provide leasing services for The Van Zandt.
“The steep upward trajectory of Fort Worth’s population is outpacing new office deliveries,” said Chris Doggett, executive vice president at Stream Fort Worth in a statement. “The Van Zandt was born as a result of Goldenrod’s recognition of the demand for additional best-in-class office space in Fort Worth as the market continues to experience a flight to quality to retain existing talent and attract the best new talent. The Van Zandt will be located in arguably the best development site in Fort Worth, and we believe it will capture the attention of corporations that are considering relocating to the DFW market.”
The Van Zandt project is one of several upcoming development projects in the area.
John Goff’s Crescent Real Estate broke ground Sept. 20 on a $250 million development at the corner of Camp Bowie and Van Cliburn Way, across from the Kimbell Art Museum. The development will house the Crescent Fort Worth, a 200-room luxury hotel, plus 170,000 square feet of office space, a restaurant and a 170-unit luxury apartment complex.
Goldenrod also plans a hotel, apartment units, office and retail space on property on University Drive between Morton and Bledsoe Streets.
