San Diego boot maker Old Gringo Boots is coming to Cowtown.

The upscale cowboy boot maker is moving its headquarters to Fort Worth after two decades in San Diego. Old Gringo is also opening its first retail store in the Stockyards.

The flagship store will incorporate a bar and patio overlooking the Stockyards’ twice-daily cattle drive. Construction on the 5,314-square-foot store is under way. It is expected to open in the first quarter of 2022.

Old Gringo’s headquarters will be at 2322 N. Main St. The building will feature a store on the first floor and the first Old Gringo Grill, a restaurant specializing in seafood, on the third level.

“We’re looking forward to becoming part of the community,” co-founder Ernie Tarut said in an announcement video.
