2,500-home community with ‘extensive amenities’ planned in far north Fort Worth

The housing boom continues in Fort Worth.

A residential community with an expected 2,500 new homes by Taylor Morrison and Trophy Signature Homes is expected to begin construction in early 2021 in far north Fort Worth.

Home construction is expected to begin in early 2022.

The development, called Madero, will feature “a variety of value-oriented homes” starting in the high $200’s, according to a release.

Green Brick Partners in a partnership with Taylor Morrison, recently purchased almost 900 acres north of Sendera Ranch, which is northwest of Haslet, in the Northwest school district.

Amenities will include “resort-style pools, expansive green spaces with walking trails, parks, and a neighborhood retail area.”

Homes will range from 1,500 to 3,500 square feet and feature three to four bedrooms and two to three baths.

Multiple residential development projects around Fort Worth have been announced in recent months.

Green Brick Partners will be offering approximately 1,250 homes through its Trophy Signature Homes brand.

Taylor Morrison plans to build 1,250 single-family homes, including 12 one- and two-story floor plans ranging in size from 1,400 to 3,000 square feet and featuring three to four bedrooms and two to three bathrooms.

In August, the Houston-based real estate firm Hines announced plans for a 3,300-home community near Texas Motor Speedway. Developments are also under way along U.S. 287 north of Avondale Haslet Road.

The Northwest school district adds roughly 1,100 new students a year. Voters will be asked to approve a $986 million bond in November to accommodate the growth.
