This Australian sells huge Texas ranches, and he wants to move to Fort Worth
Bernard Uechtritz specializes in finding buyers for pristine, Texas-size ranches — and, like many of the properties, the one he is marketing at the moment has a strong Fort Worth connection.
The man known to many people in the real estate industry simply as “Bernie” is selling the 7,700-acre Fox Canyon Ranch, which lies in the rugged Davis Mountains and features peaks over 7,000 feet high.
The interest is so high in Fort Worth, Uechtritz says, that he is ready to open a Fort Worth office, so prospective clients in the city can find him more conveniently.
Many of the Fox Canyon Ranch sellers are Fort Worth families, he said, without identifying them by name.
The sellers are seeking initial bids but they don’t have an asking price yet.
Uechtritz is an Australian who specializes in selling large ranches, mainly from his Dallas headquarters — and even when he opens a place in Fort Worth, the Dallas office will remain.
However, the ranches can be anywhere in Texas, Colorado, Wyoming or any number of other states.
Uechtritz says he is currently shopping in the areas of downtown Fort Worth, West 7th and even the Stockyards area for a good office location. He wants an office that is suitable for his big-dollar real estate deals, but also a place with a strong Fort Worth vibe.
Fox Canyon Ranch details
