A new Nashville hot chicken restaurant will open in Westworth Village this year

Westworth Village Plaza has already brought a Panera and Dairy Queen to Alta Mere Drive, and it’s going to bring a Nashville hot chicken restaurant from California.

Westworth Village Plaza is a series of pad sites in Westworth Village, on Alta Mere Drive and Fairway Drive, across the street from the Shoppes of Hawks Creek. Developed by Brytar Companies, the development is a seven-pad strip along Alta Mere Drive. Panera has already opened while a Dairy Queen will soon open. A separate 6,610-square foot building next to the new Dairy Queen has been constructed, and a restaurant called Rule The Roost will take up 2,500 square-feet on the end of the building.

Rule the Roost is a hot Nashville chicken restaurant out of San Jose, California. In its original location in San Jose, it had been part of a food court environment. It has since closed its original location and moved to open the restaurant in Westworth Village. According to its page on Yelp, Rule the Roost specializes in fried chicken sandwiches with varying levels of heat. Sides include waffle fries, mac and cheese and cole slaw.

The lot between the new building and the Panera has been sold to Braum’s, and the remaining lots will house prospective retail and restaurants.
