A hotel for the ‘ambitious traveler’ may be coming to the Fort Worth Stockyards
Fort Worth’s premier entertainment district may be getting a new place for visitors to kick off their boots and rest their heads.
Wisconsin-based Raymond Management wants to build a five-story hotel and adjoining two-and-a-half-story parking garage near the Fort Worth Stockyards.
The Tempo by Hilton hotel would be at 2219 N. Main St., have 138 rooms and around 150 parking spaces, according to plans submitted to the city of Fort Worth’s permitting website.
This would be Fort Worth’s second Tempo by Hilton hotel after the 155-room hotel currently being developed in the Near Southside.
The parking garage will be accessible through the hotel entrance on North Main Street, and will be branded with images of cowboys and other Western motifs, according to renderings submitted to the city.
The lot on North Main Street that would be used for the hotel is currently home to an auto body shop that will be demolished to make way for the hotel, according to documents submitted to the city.
The lot on Ellis — where the parking garage would be — is empty.

The proposed Tempo hotel won’t just cater to visitors to the for the Stockyards, but also the nearby Historic Northside neighborhood, said David Emerich, Raymond Management Company’s chief development officer, in a phone call with the Star-Telegram.
He noted his company has had productive conversations with the Fort Worth Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, the nonprofit advocacy groups the Historic Northside District, and Fort Worth Stockyards Inc.
The project will bring Raymond Management Company’s brand of hospitality to the Stockyards and Historic Northside, and the company is excited to do that, Emerich said.
