New single-family homes development proposed in Weatherford
A Texas construction company has applied for a zoning change in Weatherford with the aim of building a single family development of 27 homes.
Rustin Kinman, vice president of 4K Companies LLC, recently submitted an application to the planning and zoning commission seeking to rezone a little over 21 acres at 1609 Dicey Road from residential estate to a planned-unit development. A public hearing for the zoning amendment will be May 13 at 2:30 p.m.
The name of the proposed development is Matthew Meadows Estates. The homes are planned on lots ranging in width from 120 to 150 feet.
The layout of the development would include a “variety of elevations and architectural features to avoid repetition,” the application states. A shared park space with a potential walking trail, seating areas, gathering spaces and a playground are also on the table. Each lot is proposed to include four trees, with two in the front yard and two in the backyard.
The floor area of each home is proposed to be a minimum of 2,500 square feet.
The homes are proposed to be either Tudor, transitional, cottage or farmhouse style, all with decorative garage doors.
