New five-story AC Hotels by Marriott coming to northeast Tarrant County
Construction is expected to start this March on an $18 million AC Hotels by Marriott location in Grapevine.
The 122,000-square-foot hotel will be just south of Grapevine Mills and Bass Pro Shops at the intersection of State Highway 26 and Bass Pro Court. Nearby are three other hotels, including Embassy Suites and TownePlace Suites by Marriott.
The five-story hotel will have 200 guest rooms, meeting rooms, a fitness center, a full-service restaurant and a 700-square-foot pool.
AC Hotels is a “select” modern brand in the Marriott portfolio, alongside Aloft, Courtyard and Fairfield. Other AC Hotels in North Texas are in downtown Fort Worth, downtown Dallas, at the Dallas Galleria, in Frisco and in McKinney.
The hotel is expected to cost $18 million and will be completed in the fall of 2027, according to a Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation filing this week.
Erica Marohnic, the Grapevine planning director, said that the hotel was given a conditional use permit on June 17, with a height increase from 50 feet to 71 feet.
“This lot, which has frontage on State Highway 26, was originally intended for retail and restaurant space, with a future luxury hotel planned further east on Bass Pro Court,” Marohnic said. “However, after the sale of that land to the city associated with Settler’s Park, the developer sought and received approval for their last hotel, which is located immediately adjacent to State Highway 26.”
The city said the hotel is still working on more construction planning and building permit review by other departments.
