Ariat may soon be hiring 250 new employees in Fort Worth with $72.6 million expansion
Ariat could soon be expanding in Fort Worth.
The Fort Worth City Council passed economic incentives for the Western boots and apparel company to grow its regional headquarters and build a new distribution center during Tuesday evening’s council meeting.
To receive the incentives, Ariat must invest $8.9 million in its regional headquarters at 15201 Blue Mound Road and create a minimum of 150 full-time jobs there by the end of 2032. The company must also invest $63.7 million in a new regional distribution center at 2501 Eagle Parkway and create a minimum of 100 full-time jobs there by the end of 2029.
The city is offering Ariat a $300,000 grant for the headquarters expansion and up to five annual grants for the distribution center.
If Ariat chooses to move forward with the project, the city projects the company’s expansion could create $3.3 million in new tax revenue for Fort Worth.
Ariat opened its regional headquarters in 2020, after receiving a $750,000 grant from the state for the project. The company opened a retail location in the Stockyards’ Mule Alley in 2021; it’s one of only eight “brand shops” Ariat has in the U.S.
Founded in 1993, Ariat is privately owned.
