Irish fashion brand Primark reveals plans for its first Metroplex location
Irish fashion retailer Primark plans to open its first Metroplex store in the Grapevine, the company announced Tuesday.
Though the company has signed a lease for space in the Grapevine Mills shopping mall, it is unclear exactly when the store will open.
Selling its items exclusively at brick-and-mortar stores, Primark focuses on offering customers affordable clothing, houseware, accessories and more.
“Now, more than ever, Americans are seeking value. Our ongoing expansion across the country represents our commitment to bringing Primark’s unique combination of quality products at affordable prices to as many American shoppers as possible,” said Primark U.S.’s president Kevin Tulip in a press release.
Founded in 1969, there are about 450 Primark stores around the world, over 40% of which are in the United Kingdom. The Dublin-based company aims to have 530 stores worldwide by 2026.
Primark’s sales rose 6% in 2024 to roughly £9.44 billion, about $11.9 billion. Primark is owned by Associated British Foods, which has a plethora of retail and food-related companies.
There are 29 Primark locations in the U.S., including the brand’s first Texas store set to open in McAllen on Dec. 12. Primark said it has invested over $90 million in the U.S. market this year. The retailer’s first U.S. store opened in Boston in 2015.
