These 5 North Texas businesses could see their products land on the shelves at H-E-B

H-E-B has announced the 10 finalists for its “Quest for Texas Best,” an annual competition to find Texas-made products from small businesses to feature in its grocery stores.

Five finalists are from the Dallas-Fort Worth and will showcase their products before a panel of judges in Dallas. The chain said it received more than 450 submissions. Here are the Metroplex finalists:

  • Encina (Dallas), featuring Blue Corn Butterscotch Pancake Mix

  • HydroNation (Dallas), featuring Natural Sports Drinks

  • Marasi Foods (Dallas), featuring Frozen Filled Naan Bread

  • Sarape Treats (Dallas), featuring Chamoy Candy

  • BeeKing’s (Canton) featuring Honey Dust

The other finalists are:

  • Birria Queen (Austin), featuring Birria Seasoning Bombs

  • Certified Country Lemonade (Austin), featuring Frozen Lemonade & Sweet Tea

  • Hess Street Foods (Utopia), featuring Chorizo Seasoning Paste

  • La Pale Frozen Fruit Bar (Brownsville), featuring Mini Frozen Paletas

  • Texas Rice Milling (Brookshire), featuring Rice

The grand prize winner will be awarded $25,000 and the title of “Texas Best,” along with placement on H-E-B shelves. First, second, and third-place winners will receive $20,000, $15,000, and $10,000.

The winners of the Quest for Texas Best will be announced on Aug. 9 at Fair Park in Dallas.
