Work to start soon on 296-unit apartment complex in Haltom City, not far from H Mart

Construction is starting soon on a 296-unit apartment complex in Haltom City not far from the H-Mart and hotels and restaurants under construction.

Dallas-based Alpine Start Development is building Alpine Fossil Creek, on 15.6 acres at 5400 Haltom Road, across from Haltom High School. This is the developer’s first project in Haltom City

Alpine Fossil Creek will feature garden apartments with one two and three bedroom floor plans, according to a news release.

The apartments overlook Big Fossil Creek with a walking trail.

David Eitches, a co-founder of Alpine Start Development, said his company has a good relationship with the developer who is bringing H-Mart to Haltom City, and was encouraged to build there as well. H-Mart is under construction about a mile away, at the southeast corner of North Beach Street and Northeast Loop 820.

“We’re striving to be the nicest apartment building in Haltom City,” he said.

Giving residents opportunities to be out in nature is an important part of living at Alpine Fossil Creek, he said.

The complex will include grilling stations, a pool, fitness center and multiple walking trails and outdoor seating areas that overlook the creek and a clubhouse.

Eitches said he anticipates the project will be completed in 2026, but the clubhouse and units attached to the clubhouse are scheduled to be finished by mid-2025.

Rent will range from $1,450 to $2,600, he said.

Alpine Start has a “shared vision with Haltom City and its partners to bring new housing to an under-supplied market, according to the news release.
