FW’s Balcom Agency win most Addy Awards
The American Advertising Federation Fort Worth chapter handed out its prestigious Addy Awards to 29 Tarrant-area agencies, businesses and schools, with the top Best of Show award presented to Schaefer Advertising in Fort Worth.
Schaefer Advertising went on to win 17 Addys, including five gold, six silver and six bronze awards. It received the Best of Show for an invitation it designed for the Zoo Ball.
Winning the most number of awards was the Balcom Agency in Fort Worth, which garnered 42 trophies, including 17 gold, 15 silver and 10 bronze awards. The agency also received three special judges awards.
Other top awards went to Jag Productions in Fort Worth, Best of Video award for work produced for the Hip Pocket Theater; Steadfast Creative in Keller received Best of Interactive for an entry called FNG Eats, and The Fowler Group in Kennedale received the Best of Print for an entry called Cyan Designs Furniture Rug & Pillow Construction.
The Pavlov agency in Fort Worth received 20 Addys, including four gold, seven silver and nine bronze awards. The Warren Douglas agency in Fort Worth received 19 Addys, including one gold, eight silver and 10 bronze awards.
The Star-Telegram received a bronze Addy for its entry Read Us First in the ad industry self promotion campaign category.
The awards, selected from more than 500 entries, were presented Feb. 6. Winners move on to the organizations regional competition. Winners there move on to the national Addy competition.
