Work Faces: Spaniolo named CEO at North Texas Commission

Hires

American Airlines has hired Joe Mohan as Vice President – Alliances & Partnerships, responsible for managing the airline’s global alliances, international planning activities and interline product distribution. Mohan has more than 15 years of experience in the aviation industry, most recently as CEO of VivaLatinamerica.

Texas Capital Bank announced that Robin Hamilton has joined the bank as Fort Worth Regional Chairman and David Williams as Fort Worth Regional President. Hamilton spent 27 years with Wells Fargo, leading the bank’s middle-market business in the Fort Worth and West Texas markets. She is a member of the Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce board of directors. Williams is a former commercial banking division manager at JPMorgan Chase and is a member of the board of directors of the Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce and the Cowtown Marathon.

UMB Private Wealth Management has hired Jeremy Stauss as senior vice president, private banking client manager at its Fort Worth location. Prior to joining UMB, Strauss was employed by Merrill Lynch for 8 years.

Kenneth Koskay was named senior director of Global Accounts at Becker Professional Education in Downers Grove, Ill. Most recently, the Southlake resident was senior vice president and general manager of the Learning Solutions business segment at Thomson Reuters Tax & Accounting.

Promotions

Kurt Stache has been appointed Senior Vice President – Marketing & Loyalty at American Airlines to oversee the airline’s marketing strategy and implementation across all channels. He most recently served as served as Senior Vice President of Alliances & Partnerships. Vasu Raja will assume the role of Vice President – Network Planning, responsible for the planning of American’s worldwide route network as well as development of the airline’s long-term network strategy. Raja most recently served as Vice President – Pricing & Yield Management. Bridget Blaise-Shamai has been promoted to Vice President – Loyalty and will take over as President of the AAdvantage program. Blaise-Shamai been with the airline for more than 20 years, most recently as Managing Director – Customer Loyalty & Insight.

Detra Whitmore was promoted from Director of Administration to Vice President of Administration at the Fort Worth Transportation Authority. In her new role, she oversees the planning department, customer service and other administrative staff, and manages the office of the Board of Directors. Whitmore joined The T in 2005.

Appointments

James D. Spaniolo, who served as president of the University of Texas at Arlington from 2004-2013, was selected as the new president and CEO of the North Texas Commission. Spaniolo’s appointment will begin on Oct. 3, succeeding Mabrie Jackson, who left the position earlier this year.

Dr. Ronald Lee of Colleyville has been elected by his peers to serve as director on the 2016-17 Board of Directors of the 9,100-member Texas Dental Association.

Honors

AHI Supply, a leading manufacturer and distributor of masonry construction products, won a safety award for “The Most Improved Safety Program” from Arlington-based Safety First Consulting. AHI has a retail/wholesale location in Roanoke.

Eric Silver, owner of the local Fish Window Cleaning, was named Top Producer at the annual Fish Window Cleaning Convention in St. Louis for generating one of the top revenue totals for 2015 among more than 250 locations. Silver’s business provides service to commercial and residential customers in Denton, Fort Worth, North Arlington, and surrounding communities.
