Six Flags Over Texas to begin hiring for 2015 season at job fair this weekend

Six Flags Over Texas is hosting its first job fair for the 2015 season Saturday and Sunday and will be looking to hire 1,000 employees to begin the 2015 season, which kicks off Feb. 28.

The theme park is adding a new ride this year, Justice League: Battle for Metropolis.

The job fair will also be held Friday, Jan. 17 through Monday, Jan. 19. The event this weekend and next begins at 10 a.m. The park is located off Interstate 30 and Texas 360.

Applicants should first go to sixflagsjobs.com to complete an online application. Interviews are scheduled by appointment only after the online application has been reviewed.

Employees are being hired for food services, games, rides, shops, marketing, guest services, park services, entertainment, guest relations, security and loss prevention, the park said.

Wages for the positions are based on experience and range from $7.25 to $9 an hour.

Students, retirees, or people seeking a secondary income are encouraged to apply. Six Flags said it offers flexible work hours, eligibility for some to participate in the company’s 401(k) plan, discounted employee stock purchase plans, and health benefits based on certain requirements and open enrollment periods.

The park will enter its 55th season this year. About 4,000 seasonal employees will be hired.
