Earlier this year, Southwest Airlines opened up its new 492,000-square-foot training and operational support building where the Dallas-based carrier tracks all 3,300 daily flights as the airplanes crisscross the country and holds training classes for flight attendants and gate agents. The Star-Telegram got a first-hand look at the $120 million facility that is filled with large computer screens and mood-lighting and can withstand an EF3 tornado.
