You Can Lease the Jeep Wrangler for Under $400 per Month this May

The 2026 Jeep Wrangler in a Nutshell

The Jeep Wrangler can trace its roots to the granddaddy of all SUVs, and it makes zero effort to hide its lineage. But while the Wrangler name only came about in 1986, the look has evolved over nearly 80 years to what it is now. Sure, the Grand Cherokee is Jeep's best-seller, but this remains the brand's definitive model.

The current model is the fourth since '86, and it was introduced in 2017 for the 2018 model year. It then benefitted from a 2024 facelift, adding more tech and design tweaks to keep it competitive in the market. It's still relatively fresh off its update, so for 2026, updates are kept to a relative minimum.

2026 Jeep Wrangler Lease Deals for May

Lease deals for the Wrangler are Limited to just one model. Specifically, it's the 2026 Unlimited Sport S model, but we have to admit that it's a little more expensive than last month's offers. Still, at least the May lease deal isn't solely for loyalty leasees, and it's still below $400 per month.

For May, the Wrangler Unlimited Sport S goes for $379 per month for 36 months with $3,999 total due at lease signing. Per the usual, mileage is limited to 10,000 per year with a penalty of $0.30 for exceeding that. This offer is valid through June 1, 2026. For more offers, contact your nearest Jeep dealer for details.

2026 Jeep Wrangler Highlights

When it comes to configurations, it's pretty hard to beat the Wrangler. Aside from the two available body styles, there are seven trims to choose from. These are the Sport, Sport S, Willys, Sahara, Rubicon, Rubicon X, and Moab 392. All except the Sahara and Moab 392 can be had in either two or four-door guises, and prices range from $36,035 to $80,590.

The Moab 392 is the most recent addition to the standard lineup, not to mention the heaps of other special-edition models introduced this year, such as the Rewind Edition and the America250 Edition. That aside, changes for 2026 include the 12.3-inch touchscreen being standard across all trims, as well as additional color options. One thoughtful update is the revision of the doors, which no longer require tools to detach. Unfortunately, dashboard ducks are not included.

For most variants, the standard engine is the 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 with 285 hp and 260 lb-ft of torque. The 2.0-liter turbo with 270hp and 295 lb-ft is a no-cost option. Exclusive to the Moab 392 is the 6.4-liter V8 putting out 470 hp and 470 lb-ft.

Final Thoughts

For those who think modern SUVs are a little too soft and forgiving, the Wrangler is the perfect antidote to all of that. Sure, it's the most high-tech and refined version yet, but it's unashamedly old-school in the way it looks and drives. The best part is, it still has the off-road capabilities of a mountain goat and is more capable than ever. Think of this then as an MX-5 for off-roaders, a fun and focused vehicle built for purpose that's infinitely customizable and with a massive community surrounding it.
