Where service members can get meals, discounts in North Texas for Veterans Day

Several Dallas-Fort Worth businesses are honoring those who’ve served with free meals and discounts for Veterans Day.

From restaurants and coffee shops to car washes and local attractions, there are plenty of ways for veterans to enjoy a well-earned ‘thank you’ across North Texas.

These deals are specifically for veterans and active-duty military members, and most require a valid military ID to redeem.

Here’s where to go to get local specials.

Starbucks

Veterans, active-duty service members, and military spouses can enjoy a free tall (12 oz) hot or iced brewed coffee on Nov. 11.

The deal is available at participating stores for café and drive-thru orders. Just mention your military affiliation when ordering. Limit one per customer.

Raising Cane’s

Active or non-active military and their spouses can receive 10 percent off their entire purchase on Nov. 11 through the restaurant’s Hero Discount Program.

A valid military ID is required to redeem the discount at participating locations.

Little Caesars

From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., veterans and active-duty military can grab a free Lunch Combo, which includes four slices of Detroit-style Deep Dish pizza and a 20 ounce Pepsi product.

The offer is available at participating locations.

Texas Roadhouse

Texas Roadhouse will hand out meal vouchers from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. for veterans and active military personnel. Proof of service, like a military or VA card or discharge papers, is required to receive a voucher. The vouchers can be redeemed through May 31, 2026, for one of 10 entrées.

Entrée options include a 6-ounce sirloin and two made-from-scratch sides, along with a choice of any Coca-Cola product, sweet tea, iced tea or coffee. The offer may vary by location, and guests are encouraged to check with their local restaurant for specific details.

Outback Steakhouse

Veterans and active duty military can enjoy a free Aussie 3-Course Meal on Nov. 11 for dine in only.

The offer is valid for select entrées with a military ID.

Hooters

On November 11, veterans who present a military ID or proof of service and purchase a beverage can choose a free entrée from the Hooters Veterans Day Menu, which includes items like Buffalo Chicken Salad, Grilled Chicken Sandwich, 10-piece Boneless Wings, and more.

This offer is available for dine-in only.

Chipotle

From 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Nov. 11, veterans and active-duty military can receive a buy one, get one free entrée when they show a valid military ID.

The chain is also encouraging customers to support the United Service Organization by rounding up purchases through its “Round Up for Real Change” campaign.

Panther City BBQ

The popular Fort Worth barbecue spot, which is usually closed on Tuesdays, will open from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Nov. 11 to hand out 100 free bagged lunches to veterans and active-duty service members.

Cracker Barrel

Cracker Barrel is offering veterans a free Sunrise Pancake Special on Nov. 11.

Participating locations around DFW will honor the deal for dine-in orders only.

Fort Worth Botanic Garden

In honor of Veterans Day, the garden will open its doors for free admission to all visitors on Nov. 11.

No tickets or reservations required.

John Wayne: An American Experience

The Fort Worth museum dedicated to the late actor will offer free walk-in admission for veterans from Nov. 8–11.

The John Wayne Grit Series Fort Worth Stockyards 5K is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 8, during Veterans Day weekend.

Salad and Go

Veterans and active-duty military can get a free salad or wrap on Nov. 11 at any of the chain’s 16 DFW locations.

Starting Nov. 12, they’ll also get 10 percent off daily with valid ID.

BJ’s Restaurant & Brewhouse

BJ’s is giving away a free Chocolate Chunk Pizookie with any dine-in purchase of $11.95 or more on November 11.

Veterans will also get a coupon for a free appetizer redeemable through Dec. 31 with a purchase of $14.95 or more.

Whitewater Car Wash

The car wash chain, which has 20 locations across DFW, will provide veterans a free Premium Car Wash on November 11.

Twin Peaks

Veterans can enjoy a free lunch from a select menu between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Nov. 11 at any of Twin Peaks’ 11 DFW locations.

Walgreens

From Nov. 8–11, Walgreens is offering a 20 percent discount on regularly priced items for veterans, active-duty military, and their families.

Valid military ID or proof of service is required.

Kroger

Veterans, active personnel and their dependents in Texas and Louisiana can save an extra 10 percent on their total in-store purchase all day on Nov. 11. Customers can show their Kroger loyalty card or alternate ID and present their military ID or proof of service.
