McKinney residents will be spared the 20 minute commute to either Frisco or Plano after the new H-E-B grocery store officially opens July 19.

The new location at the corner of Custer Road and Eldorado Parkway will open at 6 a.m. and be open seven days a week, according to a company press release.

The announced the official opening date Wednesday, adding in a statement it will be open seven days a week from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m.

This is San Antonio-based grocery chain’ second store opening in North Texas in the last year. The Frisco location opened in September 2022 followed by groundbreakings for stores in far north Fort Worth and Mansfield.

The company also purchased property near the McPherson exit off the Chisholm Trail Parkway, but has not made any official announcements about a possible new location.
