More of California is coming to Texas — this time with two new jewelry stores.

Laguna Beach-based jewelry brand Gorjana is opening its sixth and seventh Texas stores in Tarrant County this month. Gorjana previously opened new locations in Dallas, San Antonio, Houston and Austin.

A 960-square-foot shop in Fort Worth’s University Park Village will open Friday at 1600 S. University Drive.

Gorjana will replace a former location for skincare retailer Origins and sit in between Mexican restaurant Blue Goose Cantina and women’s clothing store White House Black Market.

A new Southlake store will open next week on April 28. The location at 321 Grand Ave. West is in Southlake Town Square and spans more than 1,000 square feet.

Gorjana was named after co-founder Gorjana Reidel, who opened the business with her husband, Jason Griffin Reidel, in 2004. The couple operated the business out of their apartment for three years before opening their first shop in Southern California.

“Following the exceptional welcome we recently enjoyed in San Antonio and the enthusiastic demand we’ve received from our customers for additional locations in Texas, continuing our expansion across this extraordinary state feels like a natural next step to continue meeting our customers where they are,” Reidel said in a release.

Gorjana has in-store stylists that help customers personalize their style and layer their jewelry, the company said. The brand has a range of jewelry pieces in solid gold, gold plating, silver and more. The 19-year-old company also offers engraving for online orders at no extra charge.
