Fort Worth City Council to consider $1.5M incentives for tech company
The Fort Worth City Council on Tuesday will consider offering $1.5 million in incentives over several years for an electronic game design and production company that is considering opening a primary office in downtown.
According to the council’s meeting agenda published Thursday, the agreement calls for ProbablyMonsters, Inc. to lease at least 9,000 square feet of temporary office space by June, and 30,000 square feet of permanent Fort Worth office space by the end of 2024. The company is currently based in Washington state.
The incentive grands would roll out over five years. The company must create 300 full-time jobs by mid-2028 and retain those jobs through at least 2031. The average salary must be at least $75,000, with the goal of 30% of the employees being local Fort Worth hires.
