Chick-fil-A in Southlake is about to get $500,000 upgrade. Here’s what we know.
Changes are coming this spring to the Chick-fil-A in Southlake.
The restaurant at 2301 E. Southlake Blvd., at the corner of South Kimbell Avenue, is undergoing a $500,000 renovation starting June 1, according to information filed with the state’s Department of Licensing and Regulation.
Construction should take about 30 days.
According to records, Chick-fil-A plans to extend the drive-thru cockpit area and add an additional exterior door. The restaurant is getting new equipment, too.
Chick-fil-A is spending millions on renovations and construction of new restaurants across North Texas. At least three new Chick-fil-As will be built in Dallas-Fort Worth, and at least four existing locations are getting extensive renovations that include more drive-thru capacity at some.
Some of the projects require the Chick-fil-A to temporarily close for several weeks. It is unclear whether that will be the case in Southlake in June.
Chick-fil-A already has more than 100 locations in the Metroplex, including 16 in Fort Worth and 22 in Dallas.
According to state records over the past year, Chick-fil-A is investing at least $38.4 million in new Texas restaurants or renovations of existing locations.
