A Shipley Do-Nuts is opening in northern Tarrant County.

According to a state licensing site, the company’s newest bakery will be at 4605 Colleyville Blvd. in Colleyville, just south of the Whole Foods grocery store. The building is the former site of a Bahama Buck’s shaved ice business.

An estimated $150,000 renovation for Shipley Do-Nuts is expected to begin in February and wrap up by March 31

Shipley, founded in Houston in 1936, has about 340 locations that serve more than 60 varieties of donuts, pastries and kolaches.

The new Colleyville shop will be about two miles from the Shipley on Precinct Road in North Richland Hills. Other existing shops across northern Tarrant County are in Bedford, Grapevine, Watauga, Saginaw and along North Beach Street in Fort Worth.
