A two-screen movie theater is being developed on Camp Bowie Boulevard, according to city records.

Plans for a 9,683-square-foot movie theater at 6905 Camp Bowie Blvd. were approved by Fort Worth’s Urban Design Commission this week. The site layout shows two theaters with the front entrances, lobby and plaza area facing Camp Bowie Boulevard, not far from the traffic circle on the western edge of Fort Worth.

The developer has also proposed the painting of a mural on the building’s Camp Bowie-facing side and landscaped outdoor seating area.

The new theater will sit in between Ties 2 the Past, an antique store, and the physical therapy center D Wellness. Halbach Dietz Architects has led the design of the project.

The site layout does not feature a kitchen, meaning the theater likely will not serve prepared foods.

The new theater will soon sit on a currently vacant lot in between Ties 2 the Past and D Wellness.
