Northern Fort Worth will soon be home to a new Starbucks location.

The new coffeehouse will be at 3033 Alliance Gateway Freeway, not far off Interstate 35W roughly halfway between Fort Worth and Denton, according to a building permit filed Tuesday. The site is a shell building near the 7-Eleven gas station, down the street from Alliance’s Overlook Ranch condominium complex. The size is listed as 2,214 square feet, which would be on the larger end of the retailer’s typical stores, and the project cost is estimated at $365,950.

Fort Worth has dozens of stand-alone Starbucks locations as well as storefronts inside grocery stores across the city. The new Starbucks won’t be far from a standalone store in Alliance on Westport Parkway, and a Starbucks in Kroger on North Beach Street.

Back in September, Starbucks announced a three-year plan to accelerate store growth across the country with “purpose-built store formats.” The reinvention plan is expected to deliver net new store growth of 3% to 4% annually, the company said.

“Starbucks is a growth company, and our accelerated expansion is a direct reflection of the expected returns from our Reinvention plan,” Chief Financial Officer Rachel Ruggeri said in a release.

The property owner of the new store is listed as AIL ROW LLC.
