RSM US, the nation’s fifth-largest accounting firm, has made its way to Fort Worth.

The firm opened an office in Clearfork in August.

The audit, tax and consulting firm’s choice of Fort Worth is evidence of a strong local economy and that the business world has confidence in Fort Worth,” said Brandom Gengelbach, CEO of the Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce, in a release. “We are proud to count RSM among our members and welcome them as an integral part of our city’s vibrant economy.”

The new office at 5128 Apache Plume Road will be led by RSM Fort Worth managing partner Steve McLaurin, who has lived in Fort Worth for more than 30 years.

“As the 12th largest city in the U.S., Fort Worth’s population is booming, growing by more than 25 percent in the past decade,” McLaurin said in a release. “That means there are both businesses and jobs to support that growth, and RSM is ready to serve those companies. Not only are we big enough to manage the challenges of today, we also are nimble enough to respond to changes in the market.”

Across North Texas, RSM has more than 130 job openings in Fort Worth and Dallas office locations. In the past, RSM has worked with TCU to recruit and hire new graduates.

The Fort Worth office currently has more than 70 employees, with some working remotely under a hybrid model. McLaurin anticipates more than 30% of employees will choose to work from the Fort Worth office. The firm said it expects future growth west as part of the North Texas market.

RSM has more than 500 employees across North Texas and expects to have more than 600 by 2023.

“Some of that growth could come via transfers from other RSM offices, but we anticipate most of the growth to be organic,” McLaurin said.

The firm is the U.S. member of RSM International, a global network of independent audit, tax and consulting firms with 51,000 people across 123 countries, according to the company. The company is named after the three of the founding member firms.
