Toyota shows design for headquarters campus in Plano
Toyota rolled out the architectural design plans for its new North American headquarters in Plano on Wednesday.
The $350 million facility at Legacy Drive and Highway 121 will have seven buildings, some standing five stories tall, built primarily of glass and Texas limestone. The buildings will be arranged around a center plaza with access from four different streets.
The sprawling 100-acre campus will also feature health and fitness centers and a credit union. It was designed to be environmentally friendly, making use of solar panels and energy-efficient glass. Landscaping will make use of native drought-resistant plants.
